Day book describing pastoral activities for the Aberdeen, Madison, and De Smet missions in South Dakota, 1900-1919.

Diary of C. F. Strutz, German Evangelical Church pastor. Entries written in two hands. The portion written in Strutz's hand consists of two leaves of home remedies in English, and a daily account in German of his activities at the Aberdeen and Madison missions, 1900-1904. The second section, written in English in an unidentified hand, records the daily duties of the pastor charged with the De Smet mission, 1905-1906, and provides detailed accounts for the construction of a building on a dairy farm, possibly in South Dakota. Names of contractors, cost of services and material, and other expenses are listed. Includes undated minutes for a meeting describing the incorporation of the Progressive Live Stock and Dairy Co. and an account dated October 1919 providing financial details for the completion of the dairy farm's barn.
